New Future Founation Honors R.o.a.M. Clothing

POSTED IN Blog September 19, 2011

In 2010, I was invited to the Third World Festival of Black Arts and Culture as the only youth designer under the delegation of Queen Mother Dr. Blakely, Community Mayor of Harlem, Good Will Ambassador WF BAC .  The two-week long festival in Dakar, Senegal, was held for the World’s top artists, musicians, film makers, photographers, and all other art forms.

This past August, I was invited to the Second Annual Nigerian Youth Leadership Summit held at the Nigerian Mission to the United Nations, to be honored for having my works accepted to the Third World Festival of Black Arts and Culture. Coincidently, the last World Festival was celebrated in 1977 in Nigeria, which is also the birthplace of both of my parents. This alone made this a very special accomplishment not just for the brand, but to my family as well as myself. The Summit was a discussion with a number of both young and adult Nigerian professional, Nigerian scholars and entrepreneurs, discussing issues and topics about improving leadership in Nigeria. I would like to thank New Future Foundation and Lead Nigerian for giving me such a great opportunity.
