- Kanye West “Last Call”

I’ve been MIA from Blogging and if you feel that you can do a better job at blogging, feel free to email info@revolutionofamonarch.com(Go head, Try it lol).  Any who, I posted that except from Kanye West’s “Last Call” because I can completely relate to that emotion. Everyone has dreams, some since they were infants and other later on in life. Some dream of climbing to the top of an active volcano and others a ’66 Pontiac GTO. So everyone dreams or has dreams but to dream and to pursue your dream are two totally different things.

The idea of dreams can be  a difficult situation to think about , mostly because this is YOUR dream.  And going from an idea to taking action makes it so much more intense. Aside from building up the courage to actually pursue it, there also feed back from any and everyone with an opinion. That alone can deter some from even speaking about that idea that they have or that object they would like to obtain because of rejection.  Once you passed all of that next up is–criticism. Depending on how tough your skin is will depend on how deep these words cut.  There will be people who are being 100% honest not to be harmful but because they want your dream to progress correctly. Others, well are non-believers. Not because they choose to be but more so because they don’t understand the passion and feeling of obtaining this dream means to you. If a painter has a blank canvas and he/she knows what will go there, should he/she expect someone to understand what he envisions  the final product to turns out without an image? I would say yes, but I’ve learned to understand they wont. Its extremely difficult to believe that someone would have enough heart, drive, passion, dedication, and guts to say climb to the top of Mt Everest.Which makes people, especially if you are close to them, large skeptics. They know you and would rather see you live then to lose your mind or give up midway through it because it isn’t working.  Some peoples dreams can consume their lives in a negative manner while other can help them to create some sort of structure within oneself. But again until that dream is met it really is no one decision but yours. You know what you will do to achieve this goal sometimes to takes longer for some people to see that in your dreams.

I know that it is extremely tough because I’m still pursuing my dreams and sometimes the reactions are shattering. There are some people that see things from a very plain and safe view on things.That is fine but, I take everything they say with caution because I know how sensitive of a topic my dreams, and at times and it can be difficult for me to hear people say “be logical”. Because what dreams are logical? The whole purpose of dreams is the idea of your inner soul, spirit, whatever you would call it being able to act out its inter most interests and desires. Its been a very trying road, and I’ve barely scratch the surface.  And what I’ve come to realize is that it will only get tougher and support can only do but so much. My actions are going to have to serve as my paint strokes on my canvas until I can debut  what may be my greatest achievement thus far or just the beginning of creating new  dreams and making them one by one a reality.

I don’t know what it is but there isn’t , in my opinion,anything better than finally sitting down to listen to an album your been expecting for so long. For me, I enjoy being able to compare artistic growth from one body of work to another. I enjoy trying to figure out what aspect in which the artist is speaking on from song to song. Whether personal accounts, preconceived emotions, or purely fictional, the feeling that for the next 2:30 to 10 mins (shout out to all the Joe Budden Fans)you will be told a story about something that inspired them No matter how painful or embarrassing if may be, they still invited you for a ride along with them . For me sometimes I get attached to the ride in the sense that I almost create a image for each and every word as I’m listening to the song. Interesting right?

But whats more so interesting is the number of bodies of work that artist have  be releasing as of late.

The Clipse with they’re 3rd album “Till The Caskets Drops” almost serves as a true open letter to fans, family members, critics, and friends alike about the pain and feelings outside of the  money, fame and the entertainments. Nothing less than whats expected of the self proclaimed “Best Duo Ever”

Rihanna’s Rated R is nothing less than what I expected her next album to be. Growth, maturity, and the ability to rise when people thought she couldn’t .

Lupe Fiasco is  an extremely talanted artist and I thought this was proven in great detail with his first and second albums. “Enemy Of The State ‘A Love Story’ ” is the wake up call for all the people that may doubt his talent. a 20 minute mixtape? It still bugs me out that he found so much in 20 mins with out seeming dull, boring , and repetitive. Not to mention the guy has a hell of a marketing team. His nate tape drops 12/25 Merry Christmas in advance.

And with all this new music and roller coaster of emotions, i have felt a great surge of new energy and creativity. Being that art imitates life, it time to release some of this positive energy. So we got a lot planned for the month of December and hopefully it all materializes. Till then ill blogging with all the new RoaM info! Just got a Call from my Brother from another DJ Physics (who will be Spinning @ 40/40 in AC 11/27…SHAMELESS PLUG LOL) and we spoke about a few different things but what we spoke about in depth was ppl starting to notice RoaM in more and more place.  He even had a story…lolok so maybe I wont tell the whole thingbut,  long story short someone inquired about his RoaM Limited Edition “It wasnt Built in A Day” Logo V-Neck and from there it almost spawned a full out discussion this topic. People began to add comments  like “Yea I seen like 3 ppl with RoaM on, Whats Dat?” or ” My friend just bought a few RoaM Pieces…” and “Yea I got on the bus and seen a RoaM sticker on my Chair…” He was as shocked when he heard it as I was when he told me. Not because people noticed, but because ppl took the time out to even make a comment about it. I really am greatful for all the support from everyone, Family, Friends, Supports, people that I’ve business with and even those that got pieces they’ve been asking for(Dont Worry Yall I got you FOR REAL I PROMISE!) And its just the Beginning, Fall 09 “Welcome to RoaM” is dropping roughly in a 10 days nd then I’ll let you guys see what we’ve been working on! I dont make clothes to fit trends or to fit in I just make clothes that I would love to wear and my friends would wear.so my friends include everyone who checks my site or reads my posts or just inquires about the brand I make this for us, We are the Monarchs in the Revolution of “Life” so  I want us to be the Monarchs in the Revolution of “Fashion”also. Thanx for the Support…It will PAY OFF!!!
